BANDON – Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center announces its clinical and non-clinical Employees of the Month for November 2024. Employees of the Month are nominated by their peers and voted on via an anonymous poll. Awardees receive points on the hospital’s AwardCo platform, which they can redeem for merchandise or gift cards, and also receive a designated parking spot for the month.
Clinical – Jessica Legutki, BSN, RN – Multi-Specialty Clinic
“Jessica embodies all of the values of Southern Coos on a daily basis,” stated one of her nominations. “She has been an especially valuable liaison during the EPIC conversion, with her excellent computer skills combined w/her gift for teaching others how to navigate the new system without fear or frustration. This has made everyone’s job easier and more efficient.
“Jessica’s gentle, patient, professional approach and demeanor flow from the workstation to the care setting to the chairside,” the nomination concluded.
“Jessica has been a blessing to our department,” stated a second nomination. “She helped immensely with EPIC. Her knowledge has been appreciated, after only two weeks of training. Jessica gives quality care to our patients and works well as a team player.”
A third nomination stated: “Jessica has gone above and beyond w/EPIC. She has made the transition to EPIC so much easier for the nurses in our department. She is a great team player – compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional – a great addition to SCHHC!” concluded the nomination.
Non-Clinical – Amanda Bemetz, RN, MSN – Director, Quality, Risk, and Compliance
“Amanda does so much in a department that is not usually thought of for positive actions,” the nomination stated.
“Her entire job is making our facility safer and improving our working and living conditions day to day.
“Amanda is the glue that holds us together from the shadows, staying out of the spotlight, but having our backs on ensuring measures are taken to learn from voiced concerns or experienced situations.
“She is dedicated to getting the best and right answer to help everyone come out better as we learn and grow.
“Amanda saves our collective bacon, frequently. I appreciate her and believe she deserve recognition for her efforts,” the nomination concluded.
