April Employees of the Month Announced at SCHHC

BANDON – Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center announces its clinical and non-clinical Employees of the Month for April 2024. Employees of the Month are nominated by their peers and voted on via an anonymous poll. Awardees receive points on the hospital’s AwardCo platform, which they can redeem for merchandise or gift cards, and also receive a designated parking spot for the month.

Clinical Employee of the Month

Andrew O’Donnell was chosen as the Clinical Employee of the Month.

“Last week, Andrew had the foresight that there could be a problem with transportation for a patient,” read his nomination.

“He took the initiative within the team to make calls to help the situation. He maintained professionalism even when the calls were not going well and was able to effectively communicate the outcomes each step of the way so that as a team we could solve the problem.

“I am appreciative of everything Andrew does on a day-to-day basis to keep our team working smoothly. He demonstrates a resolving nature to see projects through to their full completion, using synergistic charisma and innovative antics to accomplish great things,” his nomination concluded.

Non-Clinical Employee of the Month

Kianna Brookshier was chosen as the Non-Clinical Employee of the Month.

“I am nominating Kianna because of her excellent teamwork and professionalism,” stated her nomination.

“She is always the first person to help a coworker in need without hesitation. She continually shows respect, not only to her coworkers but to the patients as well.

“Kianna has gone above and beyond to show excellent teamwork and reliability. She always goes above and beyond for everyone she comes in contact with. She has been instrumental in keeping her department running smoothly during supervisor changes.

“We have been having some staffing issues lately and she volunteered to work whenever needed. I had to call her on a Friday night because of an employee call-out and she was more than willing to work on Saturday – her normal day off. She has grown so much over the last year and has been willing to train all new employees,” concluded her nomination.

Congratulations to Andrew and Kianna! Thank you for all you do for Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center.
