Chris Amaral, SCHHC Supply Chain Manager
Recently, Supply Chain Manager Chris Amaral received accolodes from the National Recall Alert Center for preventing major adverse events due to defective products being recalled.
Here is a copy of the email Amaral received:
“Hello Chris,
“We want to congratulate you and your hospital for a job well-done!
“You see, National Recall Alert Center, as your long-term proactive patient safety defective product alerting partner, monitors all of our member’s use of our E.-C.L.A.S.S. System for their full compliance protection. Your hospital is no exception.
“When we recently monitored the use of our service in your facility, Southern Coos Hospital, we were very impressed – here’s why:
“Southern Coos Hospital is unique. While every hospital is concerned about patient safety and indeed it is one of their core mission statements, there are only a few like yours, Chris, that stand out from the others when it comes to showing their true vigilance for being at the forefront of protecting their patients and staff against the dramatically increasing number of defective products being recalled on a daily basis.
“We are happy to commemorate and document Southern Coos Hospital’s achievement in this email and, once again, to congratulate you, Chris, for taking the reins on preventing major adverse events due to defective products being recalled.”
Kind regards,
Hannah
