BANDON – Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center announces its clinical and non-clinical Employees of the Month for October. Employees of the Month are nominated and voted on by their peers. They receive points on the hospital’s AwardCo platform, which they can redeem for merchandise or gift cards, and also receive a designated parking spot for the month.
Non-Clinical – Tracy Couch, Patient Access Specialist III, Emergency Department:
“Tracy goes above and beyond for patients and co-workers. He is upbeat and always willing to lend a hand when the ED is busy. Tracy tries extremely hard to confirm patient information is entered accurately in our system to ensure proper billing for patients. He has a great sense of humor and gets along with his coworkers, making us laugh daily! I appreciate his willingness to learn and rearrange his schedule, as needed, to benefit the needs of the department. Tracy very much deserves employee of the month because of his selflessness and focus on giving excellent patient care at all times.”

Clinical – Jim Morgan, Assistant Supervisor III, Clinical Lab:
“Jim truly is the expert when it comes to lab issues. Patients specifically request him for their lab draws because “He’s the best!” He is all about teamwork and never complains when he is the only one in Lab doing blood draws for outpatients, ED, and inpatients. Patient care is always first for Jim, and he is quick to help whenever needed. He makes a positive impact in the lab with his helpful attitude and willingness to always do more!”
