Southern Coos Hospital Names June Employees of the Month

BANDON – Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center announces its clinical and non-clinical Employees of the Month for June 2024. Employees of the Month are nominated by their peers and voted on via an anonymous poll. Awardees receive points on the hospital’s AwardCo platform, which they can redeem for merchandise or gift cards, and also receive a designated parking spot for the month.

Kaitlynn Winchell, Clinicial Employee of the Month

Laboratory Technologist, SCHHC Clinical Lab

“Kaitlynn is very hardworking and efficient,” her nomination stated. “She rises to the challenge on a daily basis in her busy clinical setting. Often, she is on the move for her entire shift. She is responsible, kind, and dedicated to her job.”

“Kaitlynn has put in the effort to have extra education to fulfill the department needs. Despite the fact that she could make more money elsewhere, they have remained a dedicated employee for Southern Coos Hospital. All of the staff she works with have positive things to say about her.

“Recently, Kaitlynn worked her whole weekend attending to departmental needs because there were urgent patient-related tasks that needed to be done. She adds a personal touch to her work, is cheerful, always professional, demonstrates a high skill level for her position, and is an asset to their department. Her dedication to providing quality services for our patients is to be commended!” the nomination concluded.

Katrina “Kat” Mann, Non-Clinical Employee of the Month

Dietary Aide, SCHHC Dietary Department

“I am nominating Kat for many reasons: Her eagerness to learn, facing a tough day with a smile, always being kind to her fellow employees, and just her cheery disposition on everything thrown at her,” her nomination stated.

“Kat has been with us for almost two years and has had a great transformation in the knowledge needed in this department. If we’re short-staffed, she is the first to volunteer her free time to help. She is always eager to help anywhere she can and does so with a smile and zero complaints.

“If Kat is unsure of what to do, she isn’t afraid to ask; she would rather learn the proper way than wing it. She goes by the Southern Coos motto when it comes to her performance, ‘Quality Healthcare with a Personal Touch.’ She does everything wholeheartedly, and I’m grateful she’s here every day,” the nomination concluded.

Congratulations to both Kaitlynn and Katrina! Your service to Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center is appreciated.
