Gift Shop Volunteers Celebrated at Luncheon

The fourth-annual Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center Gift Shop Volunteer Luncheon was held July 15, on the patio of Karen and Steve Reber. Karen Reber is the Gift Shop coordinator and her husband Steve is one of the six Gift Shop volunteers.

“Volunteers enjoyed a lovely afternoon in a beautiful English Garden setting,” said Karen Reber. “It’s a great time for the whole team to come together and enjoy each other’s company.”

The Gift Shop offers an eclectic array of items, from seasonal, home decor, jewelry, clothing, a children’s section and other unique gifts. Gift cards are also available.

The Gift Shop is a nonprofit entity that is managed by the Southern Coos Health Foundation and staffed by volunteers. When you make a purchase from the Gift Shop, you are shopping for a cause!

Proceeds from the Gift Shop support Foundation projects such as Mary Richards Memorial Scholarships, the Bandon School District School Nurse Program, Community Outreach such as Women’s Health Day and the Drive-Through Flu Shot Clinic, and hospital equipment and technology upgrades, among other projects.

Come visit the Gift Shop today! If you are interested in volunteering, email Karen Reber at kreber@southerncoos.org.

The Gift Shop is open to the public Monday through Friday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and for special events.
