BANDON – Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center announces its clinical and non-clinical Employees of the Month for August 2025.
Employees of the Month are nominated by their peers and voted on via an anonymous poll. Awardees receive points on the hospital’s AwardCo platform, which they can redeem for merchandise or gift cards, and also receive a designated parking spot for the month.
CLINICAL
Brandie Guzman, Medical Lab Assistant III, Clinical Laboratory

“Brandie has really stepped up and filled some big shoes during a sad time,” her nomination stated. “She has taken to a leadership role with compassion, patience, and dedication. Nobody wants to be the boss, manage schedules, hire new department staff, or answer tough questions, BUT Brandie saw a need for the department and conquered it. She also bakes the BEST desserts in the world and always shares with her coworkers and other departments. I am so grateful for Brandie. Without her, I don’t think I could have handled the workload. In all seriousness, even if she doesn’t win Employee of the Month, I hope she reads this and know how much I, and our department, appreciate her so much.”
NON-CLINICAL
Kassandra Keller, Assistant Manager, Multi-Specialty Clinic

“I would like to nominate an extraordinary non-clinical employee who consistently goes above and beyond for her department,” the nomination stated. “Kassandra is a true leader, respected and appreciated by department leaders, front office staff, medical assistants, and even our patients. This past month, she personally assisted a patient with a conversation that was both highly professional and deeply compassionate. It was a shining example of the care and dedication Kassandra brings to her role every day, and I feel truly blessed to work alongside her. Beyond patient interactions, she works tirelessly to streamline processes and workflows across multiple departments, improving efficiency and making our workplace a better environment for everyone. Kassandra’s dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence is inspiring, and I am honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with her.”
Congratulations to Brandie and Kassandra!
