February Employees of the Month Announced

BANDON – Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center announces its clinical and non-clinical Employees of the Month for February, 2024. Employees of the Month are nominated and voted on by their peers. They receive points on the hospital’s AwardCo platform, which they can redeem for merchandise or gift cards, and also receive a designated parking spot for the month.

Clinical Employee of the Month

Chi Jensen, Medical Assistant, Multi-Specialty Clinic:

Chi Jensen embodies our Mission of Quality Healthcare with a Personal Touch. Every day she goes above and beyond for every patient. Providers love her because she follows through meticulously. Patients comment every day that Chi made their day brighter, happier and went the extra mile to help them with their needs. Recently Chi worked many extra hours for one of our veteran patients to help him get transportation to Roseburg for a critical surgery. She talked to many people at the VA and pressed VA admins to create a program to allow all of our veterans the transportation they need for medical care. This deserves a HUGE SHOUT OUT and Employee of the Month! Chi is driven by a deep inner compassion for patients, coworkers, and the providers and a strong sense of integrity with the utmost professionalism. She’s kind, knowledgeable, a problem-solver, and a natural leader respected by all staff.

Non-Clinical Employee of the Month

Kerry Vincent, Nursing Support Supervisor, Nursing Department:

I am thrilled to nominate Kerry Vincent for Employee of the Month. I have worked with her for many years, and I have always known her to approach her work with a calm and professional tone. This is especially remarkable considering how challenging her job must be. And she does it all with a smile on her face and a superb can-do attitude. Kerry works with all of the medical surgical and ED staff, treats everyone fairly, and acts with integrity. Tireless in her endeavors to keep these departments staffed efficiently, Kerry’s efforts allow for improved outcomes and time for staff to provide quality patient-centered care. Kerry is an excellent communicator, responding to messages and inquiries quickly and efficiently. She is extremely knowledgeable, admirably hard-working, and always helpful. Kerry is a pleasure to work with and SCHHC is a better place with her here.

Congratulations to Chi and Kerry! Thank you for all you do for Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center!
