BANDON – The Bandon Police Department celebrated National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Bandon City Park.
Hundreds of people from babies to senior citizens attended the event, which features local first responders and other community groups and businesses that help promote the safety and welfare of the community. Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center was among those represented at the event.
There were emergency vehicles on display with first responders available to give demonstrations, free hot-dogs and hamburgers, bounce houses, raffles, and a Coast Guard helicopter landed in the ball field.
It was the third National Night Out event to be held in Bandon, organzied by the Bandon Police Department and many local groups donated time and funds to make it happen.
