Southern Coos Hospital would like to thank the community for voting for us in the 2024 Toast of the South Coast competition, sponsored by Bicoastal Media.
We won four medals for 2024, including:
GOLD for Hospital
GOLD for Medical Facility
SILVER for Emergency Services
SILVER for Behavioral Health

The Toast of the South Coast is a vote-based contest focusing on and highlighting the best businesses, companies, groups, locations, items, and services along the South Coast – from Florence to Langlois and all cities in between. Last year, Southern Coos Hospital won six medals in the Toast the of the South Coast competition, which was the first year the event was held. SCHHC won Gold in 2023 for Hospital, Medical Facility, Community Partner, and Place to Work. We won Silver for Behavioral/Mental Health, and Emergency Care.
In 2024, there were 1,009 nominations (up from 777 last year – the first year of the competition), and 160,793 votes. To win two golds and two silvers is quite an accomplishment and shows that our community supports us! We appreciate all of you!
We picked up our medals at a lovely reception held at Wildflour Public House, hosted by Bicoastal Media.
