With the move into the new facility in 1999, Southern Coos Hospital expanded their ability to provide quality surgical services close to home for our local community. Southern Coos Hospital is in a beautiful setting, with state-of-the-art equipment. SCH services include full-time 24-hr nursing care, complete x-ray and laboratory services, an emergency room and a brand new out-patient clinic available for out-of-town physicians to utilize when they are here. Not to mention our local physicians who are willing to participate daily in your care. The number one goal of our operating room staff is to make your surgery experience easy, safe and comfortable, and provide high quality care to our friends and neighbors (old and new). Our highly experienced staff will work to safely and efficiently provide you with the skilled care that you deserve right here in your own neighborhood. We can provide services for a wide variety of surgical specialties and anesthesia including: outpatient and inpatient caseloads for Dental, Ear, Nose & Throat, General Surgery, Gynecology, Ophthalmologic, Orthopedic, Podiatry and Urology surgery. Minor or Short-term Surgical Care In the event a minor procedure entails short-term hospitalization, our surgical staff will ensure a smooth transition to the care of our highly-qualified nursing unit staff. Major Surgical Care When major surgery is necessary, Southern Coos Hospital is ready to help you through this process from admission, into the preoperative area, until you are transferred to the care of the nursing unit.
